Payment Types Accepted: M/C, VISA, American Express and Discover Description: "The lock on this Belgian made British marked single shot percussion pistol is marked 1861 (very light, almost unreadable) over Tower at the center and Crown over VR at the tail. The overall length is approx. 16"". The 9.5"" octagon to round 67 caliber barrel has an excellent bore with strong rifling. Interestingly, the rifling stops approx. 1.25"" short of the muzzle. All the metal retains approx. 90% of its original blue finish. The barrel is marked with the oval Belgian ELG proof with W3 above that along with a couple of other proof or inspection marks on the top flat. The right oblique flat has a crown over R over a star over facing B's over an arrow. The right flat is numbered 857. The left flat has a series of inspection marks at the wood line. The stock is very good with some shrinkage, a small chip out of the left grip, and a little wood break-out where the trigger pin comes through at the left side. The action functions correctly. This is an interesting pistol that merits further research. Price: $1,575.00 Antique: Yes |
