This is a spectacular original condition Remington Rand 1911A1, chambered in .45 ACP and made around 1943. The gun looks new and unfired, save for a couple of tiny nicks on the front grip strap from being in the box with the spare mag loose next to it.
The gun is a rare NRA surplus purchase and looks as if it left the factory yesterday. Comes with original box. Both magazines are still in original wrappers! Perfect bore and grips. An original shipping/sales receipt from NRA is enclosed, dated 1960 and showing a purchase price of $17.00. This is a stunning "as new in the box" gun that is impossible to upgrade .
