Description:
This Helibron swivel breeh double rifle's muzzles measure 16.09 mm or .63." "Helibron" is engraved very clearlyon the top of one chamber and evidence can be seen on the top of the other. Barrels are partial octagon and partial round. Rifling is clearly present on one barrel, and evidence of rifling in the other, but not as well defined. The bores on these barrels have evidence of being octagon in shape. Each barrel has its own rear and front sight. It has provisions for only one cleaning rod which is present.
The firing mechanism has its main spring intact and is fully functional. It has a half-cock and full-cock setting with a single trigger. Buttstock appears to be fully intact with brass buttplate and silver inlay on cheekpiece. Curly maple slabs go the full length of the barrel on each side. One side of the side plate has a piece of wood missing and a crack is present as seen in pictures.
Each sideplate is capped with a brass endcap.
Swivel mechanism is present; however, we have not operated it nor have we disassembled this rifle.
