Description:
This gun had a longer barrel at one time but now is about 22 inches. The bore is about 62 caliber. This gun has been around a long time and looks its age. The barrel is a pleasing deep brown antique patina as is the lock plate and hammer. This gun does not have a buttplate but is carved to a butt shape. Wood is very dark from age with a fiddle back design. Forearm wood has been cut to about half the barrel length. Replacement ram rod. The gun does cock but the hammer spring is possibly broken. Trigger spring is okay. A very nice brass trigger guard. This old gun has great eye appeal and would look perfect in a den or above the fireplace.
