Description: This is a rare and historic Whitney Tiesing Model Kennedy lever-action rifle, chambered in .38-40, and manufactured in 1882. The rifle remains in very good condition, especially considering its age of over 140 years. The finish shows typical wear consistent with age and use, with a patina developed over time. The wooden stock retains its original character with notable deep handling marks and some chipping throughout, reflecting its long service life. Despite this, it maintains structural integrity and period authenticity. The tang has been professionally welded, and the repair is solid and well-executed. Mechanically, the rifle is fully functional and operates exactly as it should. The action is smooth, and the internal components are intact. Notably, the barrel features strong rifling, indicating that the bore is in very good shootable condition for a firearm of this vintage. This is a fine example of a rarely seen lever-action rifle from one of the more obscure 19th-century American arms makers. It would make a valuable addition to any antique firearm collection or serve as a functioning piece of Old West history. FOR FULL PHOTO ALBUM ASK US FOR THE LINK! SPECS:
