Description:
1986 HK P7 M8 in factory matching numbers hard shell case chambered in 9mm. This gun is HK Chantilly VA marked gun making it a very early M8 Pistol. Chantilly marked Guns came after Arlington and were only imported between 1984-1988. Comes with all shown inside the box. Two magazines, manual, tool and cleaning brush. A nice hard to find OG package here.
The P7 M8 is a distinctive semi-automatic pistol renowned for its innovative design, particularly the squeeze-cocking mechanism, which sets it apart from other handguns. Introduced in 1985 as an evolution of the earlier P7 model, the P7M8 was adopted by various law enforcement agencies, including Germany's GSG 9 and U.S. police departments, before being discontinued in 2008. Squeeze-Cocking Mechanism: The front grip lever must be squeezed to cock the striker, making the pistol ready to fire. Releasing the lever decocks the pistol, enhancing safety by preventing accidental discharges.
M8 upgrades include a larger trigger, trigger guard, lengthened trigger, heat shield, thumb operated magazine release, larger rear sight dovetail, protruding firing pin bushing and lanyard ring. Production began in 1983 and run through 2007.
