Description:
This is a WWI French Lebel M1886 Short 1915 Bayonet with Scabbard. This is a late war modified, 13 1/4" cruciform blade without the quillon, and raised round press stud. The scabbard is also shorted and marked "G76281" best I can make out. The blade is marked I on one sied and C on the other with the guard marked 8. The only other mark is on the butt "R inside a Circle" Over all in very good condition with light surface oxidation and signs of use.
