Description:
Built in 1892, a very nice boxlock game gun with brown Damascus 30" barrels. Barrels built with 2 - 3/4" chambers and have 2007 London Nitro. proof. "Finest Damascus" Barrel with file cut flat top rib with extension. Barrel flats with "LP / 07", "70MM" and "12 / C" in diamond.
Brushed coin finished box lock action with Greener style crossbolt action and beaded fences with scroll and floral engraving. Both sides of receiver engraved with "BELMONT INTERCHANGEABLE HAMMERLESS". Action is fit with disk strikers, double triggers, scroll engraved trigger guard with long tang. Engraved top lever with checkered thumb piece and checkered/serrated safe slide. "SAFE" in gold. Gun is non-auto safe. Water table with "258" stamped. The checkered English walnut stock with streaky grain has a sharp checkered Fluer de Lis styled straight hand grip. Stock is also fit with a gold shield and terminates with a black leather covered pad. Splinter forend built with a Deeley latch release and a finely carved seashell horn tip.
This beautiful gun remains in excellent as refurbished overall condition. Barrels are excellent, retaining mostly all of their restored brown and white contracst Damascus finish. Stock is excellent as sound as refurbished. Forend is also excellent. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are excellent.
This fine Bonehill is easily the prettiest we have had the privilege to offer in recent times. It is antique and ships right to your door and priced right at $6895.
