EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION, VERY EARLY "RIGHT TURNING CYLINDER" OFFICERS MODEL TARGET .38 SPECIAL, #322XXX, MADE 1910. This is particularly interesting as I've seen another with serial number a few thousnd lower that was also made in 1910, but it had a "Left Turning Cylinder" as on the earliest style Officers Models made on the New Army/New Navy style. I would assume this one was one of the very first of the "new" style cylinder models that turn to the right as all Colts have done since that time. This example appears about unused. It retains nearly all the original high polish blue that Colt used at this time with only the most minor of wear that is too small to try to describe. The trigger snd hammer back show beautiful fire blue. Checkered back strap and trigger, adjustable sights, early "stylized C" rampant colt stamping and all markings sharp asnd clear. Exc. mechanically and bright bore. Even the front face of the cylinder shows about all the blue indicating it was rarely if ever shot (still has some hard grease on the cylinder face!). Sharply checkered walnut grips are excellent. It would be harder to find a finer 115 year old Officers Model Target revolver than this one.
