Description:
This is a true pair of pistols. They are identical. They both have what looks like Four in script on the right lock, and Tulle in script on the left. They are both marked SOMBRET TORDU on the tops of the barrels. They retain a pleasing patina with some very light pitting on the barrels. Both are approximately .45 caliber. Original flint. Relief carved wood stocks with a grotesque animal face of some kind on the butt. One of them has a period wood repair to the front of the stock (see pictures). 4 1/4 inch barrels. 9 inches long overall. All 4 locks are in good working order. Made in the late 1700's. Plain wood ramrods. All in all, a really super looking pair of guns!

Firearms are not test fired, however we do test the action to see if it functions properly for a dry fire. We do not put any ammo in it or disassemble to check internal parts. We will sometimes take off barrels or stocks in an attempt to prevent damage in shipping. We only sell used guns, and have no way to know how many rounds have been through them. WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. ALL FIREARMS, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR FEDERAL ANTIQUE STATUS have to be shipped to a dealer for transfer within NY. Other states are fine, depending on your state laws. We will not ship to a New York, NJ, or CA C&R holder, a standard FFL is required. There are some states in which a C&R handgun MUST be shipped to a dealer, such as MD. Please know your local laws.
