"Serial number 197178. Made in 1900. 38 Colt caliber with a 4 ¾"" barrel. This gun has been refinished and the grips are replacements 38 Colt is one of the more rare calibers. Only 412 Bisley models were made in 38 Colt. This gun comes with a copy of a factory letter. The letter says this gun was shipped with a 4 ¾"" barrel and was sent J. F. Schmelzer & Sons Arms Company in Kansas City in a shipment of 200 guns. The barrel is either a replacement, or there is a factory error.
