Description:
A very nice European Mount of a genuine fair and legal public land rifle harvested Wyoming Pronghorn. Wyoming pronghorn area 113 (Sussex) in 2007. This was harvested by me on a day off from guiding with a young protégé. We knew a legal way in to this huge block of public land and looked and passed on a lot of bucks that day, I said " I want one that we don't have to convince ourselves it's a big buck" midday we notice one and put a stalk on. We got a bit too close and this great buck came out of a brushy little draw and harvested at about 40yds. Good thing I had a favored Weatherby custom shop 6-lug Mark V in 25-06 with a 20x zeiss on it ??. Anyway, he obviously drops in his tracks and a bigger one (we still think this is the one we saw originally, possibly 80") was just above us completely unnoticed watching us 2 crawl in on this guy. Stuff happens. This was a great great buck for that region of Wyoming in the earlier dry 2000's. It green scored 73" I think and has shrunk a bunch (was 15 1/2" green) in the years since being displayed in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and now South Texas. We are staring down the barrel of retirement and downsizing a lot and testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in being the next caretake
