About Us: I am a private individual gradually selling off my collection. I prefer to sell each firearm myself instead of leaving it to the whims of an auuction. I will be listing rifles, shotguns, old, modern, some NIB, and some that are rare. In purchasing from me, you are dealing with the actual owner and not a dealer who has no familiarity with the firearm. I have owned these firearms for anywhere from a year and a half, to several decades. When purchasing from me, there will be no surprise needed repairs.
Description:
The usual 6.5x55 caliber. Stock has numerous military handling marks, but no cracks. It was given a varnish coat at some point in the past. Something unusual about this one is that it does not have a torped brass disc, and there is no evidence that it ever had one. It has a small brass disc at the top of the comb and is stamped “244” which someone told me is a “rack number” tag. The barrel shank has a 1903 date on it, and all serial numbers throughout are matching. A lot of bluing is still present everywhere except on the butt plate, which is at white-out. Bore still has some good shine to it, and the grooving is still pretty decently defined. Everything functions flawlessly. Includes the bayonet and scabbard in the photos. There are no serial numbers on the bayonet or scabbard so I do not know if they are original to the gun. The wood on the bayonet handle is in good shape, it is all there and there is only one small crack at one of the tightening bolt-heads. All the metal on the scabbard and on the blade is in good shape. There is only one small dent in the scabbard. The bayonet lug lock and the scabbard lock both work fine. I can provide several high-res photos and a video clip of the firearm in operation to any SERIOUS buyer. Terms are as per this Description section and our correspondence. Cash only for Local sale. For local sale I will only sell to anyone who is verified to purchase a firearm so I would need to see either a FFL, or Neb Firearm Purchase Certificate, and ID, just like it's done at most awkshuns/shows. Neb Concealed Carry Permit works as well. If you are from out of state but can make the drive, there is an FFL in my locale that will do the transfer for 25 bucks. I will ship to an FFL. If you do not have your own FFL you must contact your FFL provider and ensure that they will accept firearms for transfer that come from a private individual like me that does not have an FFL. I can provide them a copy of my driver’s license. I will also need contact info for your receiving FFL so that I can arrange shipping with them. If shipping, payment for firearm and shipping combined is by Bank Cashier's Check ONLY. Shipping is to only the lower 48 and is a flat fee of 55 dollars.
