Description: Serial #83 007175, .50 Caliber black powder Flintlock, 40 inch octagonal barrel with a very fine dark bore with strong rifling and surface oxidation. This is the Connecticut Valley Arms model Pennsylvania Long Rifle manufactured for them in Spain during the 1980's and early 90's. The beautifully built rifle features double set triggers, sporting rear and Rocky Mountain blade front sights, brass furniture including a generous size patch box with spare flint, leather, and several lead musket balls. In near excellent condition the barrel has much of the original mottled brown finish with some areas of roughness toward the muzzle with the action and lock showing about 75-80% of the original case-hardened colors with areas of freckling. The actions functions properly with a very sensitive trigger and hard steel that produces a very nice spark. The walnut stock is solid with a very nice grain pattern. The original brass tipped ramrod is present. A beautiful modern Flintlock that is ready for the primitive arms season or the next Rendezvous. Antique Price: $695.00 Antique: Yes |
