The rifle has very nice metal, markings, and factory engraving on it. It is marked on the lock "L. INGRAM" on the lock, and "INGRAM 100 UNION ST. GLASGOW" on the barrel. The lock, hammer, top tang, trigger guard, and end cap are all finely factory engraved. The barrel retains most of its original brown finish with small areas fading into a natural plum brown color. The rest of the metal on the rifle has a nice untouched brown patina on it with some areas showing original finish. The rifle has excellent original wood with fine checkering and crisp edges as shown. There is an oval silver escutcheon behind the top tang. It has its original nipple shield on it. The bayonet lug is #792 and it has the correct long range sight on it. The rifle has an excellent action and good bore.
