Excellent and completely original PRE WAR Winchester Model 70 in the very scarce 22 Hornet caliber.
S/N 24784 with matching scribed bolt made in 1939.
24" standard weight barrel with a good bore, along with crisp and proper mechanics.
All original finishes and components throughout, showing general light wear and handling marks but no significant detractors.
The rear receiver bridge remains intact (undrilled and unrepaired). There are no non-factory holes in this rifle.
I have also personally verified that the chamber remains a true 22 Hornet. (never reamed to "K Hornet")
A very hard rifle to find which remains in completely original and collectible condition, yet can still be taken out and enjoyed as originally intended.
