The tin has a nice untouched original "Colt's Patent" label as shown with a minor tare in one spot. The label clearly reads that the caps are for Colt's Belt & Pocket Percussion Pistols. The original tin is an early one and never had the brown lacquer on it. This Is A Fine Looking Example Of An Early Civil War Percussion "COLT'S PATENT, ELEY BROS." 100 CT. Cap Tin That Is Fine Enough To Be In A Very Good Cased Set!
