This very nice Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk comes to us as a consignment sale. It wears serial number 84-78813, which shows as being manufactured in 1983.
It is chambered for the powerful 44 Magnum cartridge but, of course, you can always run 44 Special rounds if you prefer. This is a single action only revolver, has a 6 shot unfluted cylinder and a 7.5 inch barrel. The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight is a fixed ramp.
The action is smooth and the lockup is tight. The trigger pull is a very nice, light single action crisp break.
The metal finish is a very attractive stainless and the grips are a black, rubber checkered.
The pistol could use a good cleaning but is nothing unexpected. The bore is good, the barrel is bright and the rifling is good. The grips are in very good condition and the stainless finish rates as Very Good as well.
The older Super Blackhawks have been very popular every time that we’ve had them. If you’re looking for a top quality, Very Good condition Ruger revolver, this one is definitely worth a look. We don’t think that you’ll be disappointed.
Purchase includes the revolver as shown and an Uncle Mike’s Sidekick nylon belt holster.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this revolver. We have, however, performed our function checks and find no issues to report.
