This Mauser pistol is issued to the German War Time police. The police stamp is The Stick Eagle L. This pistol is the second variation style with the military finish and smooth sight channel. This pistol's serial number is 798983. This pistol is all matched serial numbers. The bore is bright with sharp lands. The original bluing would rate a 97% or better condition. The original wood grips are in very fine condition with no cracks or other issues. The action works correctly and smoothly with no problems. The two original magazines are in very fine condition. These magazines are the correct latter style without the Mauser banner on the magazine bottom floor plate. There were about 10,000 of these second variation pistols produced for the police service. The holster is also police marked with the stick eagle. This holster has seen service use and wear. It is still a serviceable holster. There is some scuffing around the spare magazine pouch which is expected from service use and wear. This pistol is certainly a collector grade pistol for the Mauser and military collector! It is really nice to have a complete original holster and pistol rig as it would have been issued! This adds to the value of this pistol for serious collectors.
