Description:
This is a Spanish M 43 bayonet WWII pattern w/wood grips. This fit the Spanish Mauser M 1943, Gewehr 98 & Karabiner 98k which were two of the standard German infantry rifles. The ricasso is not on either side. The non sharpened 9 7/8" (251mm) blade is in excellent condition with nearly all the original finish, slight wear forward, no chips and an unaltered tip. The wooden handle has a 1" crack on one scale, slight wear and is a medium brown color with no flashguard, The guard is numbered #495, the pommel has no markings. The scabbard is not labeled. It is in very good condition with 85% - 90% of its paint finish with a dusting of surface oxidation. Shows light wear, with small scratches and no real dents. Please see pictures for details.;
