Perazzi MX410-B “EXTRA” .410 bore O/U shotgun..
The “EXTRA” grade guns were made in 4 gauge sets that were used for Perazzi marketing displays. The “EXTRA” grade guns were the best-of-the-best that Perazzi had to offer. These display guns showed off the very finest engraving, the very finest wood and the best fit and finish. Consequently, these were all very expensive 4-gun sets, often priced in the $300,000 - $400,000 per set!!
This .410 is one of the guns and it certainly does not disappoint!
Serial number #112618 made in 1999
The original barrel is 26 ¾” (27” over the open extractors) and fixed choked: IC/IM. Fitted with a ¼” wide, flat ventilated rib. Silver front bead.
The action became the palette for the Val Trompio, Italy engraving studio, Creative Art. The side plate game scenes engraved in a Bulino style by the Creative Art engravers depicting life-like Partridge is nothing short of amazing. (I have included some very high-resolution photos so that you may enjoy the artwork.) The borders, the top tang and the fences are all done in a complimenting floral scroll. And as I said all in EXTRA grade.
Single selective trigger. Non-automatic safety.
The pistol grip buttstock and the narrow field forearms are from very select Walnut..EXTRA grade. The length of pull is 15 ¼” to the checkered butt. Drop at comb is 1 7/16” with 2 1/8” drop at the heel. There is 3/8” cast at the heel and ½” cast at the toe favoring a right-hand shooter.
As an extra, there is a fitted set of 29” barrels choke F/F and configured in a “Boss” style with a raised front bead and a rear ¾” long “tab” extending from the breech end of the barrels. Made in 2019
The gun weighs 5 lbs. 15 oz. with the vent rib barrels and weight 5 lbs. 12 oz. with the 29” Boss style barrels.
No case or paperwork
