This Colt Lawman Mark 3 is perfect mechanically and appears to have been shot very little. The factory blue finish is nearly perfect on the frame, and the grips are in excellent condition as well with no cracks or wear to the varnish. The barrel and a few small spots on the cylinder however show some evidence of rust and very light pitting. It is almost certainly a case of improper storage or not properly wiping down the barrel and cylinder before being put up rather than wear and exposure from carrying and use. The 4-inch barrel has a minty bore with sharp lands and grooves in the rifling and no pitting or signs of erosion. The cylinder bores are also bright and clean. The factory color case-hardened hammer still shows nicely defined colors. The action on this Lawman Mk. III is excellent. It is "in time" perfectly and locks up tight. The trigger is excellent on this Colt and breaks cleanly with no creep or grittiness. Everything works on this Colt 100% like the day it left the factory in 1973. If you have been looking for a "classic" reliable .357 Magnum revolver to shoot or carry, this Colt Lawman Mk. III would be an excellent choice. .357 Magnum
