This Colt 1911-A1 SN 1654231 was part of the US Lend Lease program to help European allies during WWII when the USA shipped arms to assist the War effort. This is a war time 1944 .45 Colt 1911 Lend Lease gun. Note markings on the pistol. Fine condition gun with age appropriate wear with proper magazine, inspector stamps and British proofs. Fine collectible gun reportedly brought home post war by a US veteran.
