This fantastic Colt Government Classic comes to us as a consignment sale. The owner reports that he purchased this pistol around two and a half years ago but has not fired it. The tag is still attached to the trigger guard. Serial number is GV221745.
The pistol, just by itself, is fantastic but this one also comes with a total of TEN MAGAZINES.
The bore, of course, is Mint and the barrel is bright while the rifling is deep and strong. The grips are in Mint condition as well. The entire pistol looks as if it just came off the shelf with the exception of a few light storage marks on the metal finish.
We like this particular model a lot, partly because it is such a classic look for a 1911. Since Colt ships these models with just one magazine, the extra NINE that come with your purchase make this one heck of a bargain.
If you like the 1911 platform, nothing says “1911” like Colt. Save yourself some money and get “just like new” along with as many magazines as you probably care to load up. You won’t go wrong with this one.
