Description:
This 1902 Charles Lancaster 20ga double gun is in 97-99% overall condition and the bores are pristine. The solid rib barrels are 28", the straight pull stock has a 14 3/8" LOP to a checkered butt. I can detect no cast to the stock, it appears neutral to me. The condition of this gun is absolutely stunning for it's age! The case-colors are still 60-70%, the engraving is sharp and detailed, and there is a nice engraved border around the rounded action. The weight according to my scale is 5lb 6oz. This piece would once again make a fine upland game gun! The original owner passed many years ago and the gun has been a safe queen for his grandson in the years since.
