Description:
Scarce Allen & Wheelock Pepperbox dragoon. This example is in excellent overall condition with the usual loss of finish on the frame etc., the 6” barrel on the other hand seems to retain a descent amount of its original darker finish. The gun is mechanically excellent with a crisp advancing gear and six undamaged nipples. The walnut grips are fine and cover the #58 (assembly number?) Two barrel ribs respectively read Allen & Thurber, Worcester and Patented 1837. A fine representative example of this rare, big frame rotary pistol.
