This revolver was a medium sized, sturdy, well-built self-defense weapon, ideal for potent conceal and carry in the era not long after the American Civil War and continuing into the 20th century. This revolver likely was owned by someone of high stature, given the elegant inlays found on this revolver. This self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy city of Liege, London, or Paris during the tumultuous times of the late 1800s. These type pistols were sturdy and simple. They were the "Saturday Night Specials" of the 16th-19th century. Before the Deringer, they were "Gentleman's" or "Muff Pistols", typically, a smaller pistol that was easily concealed. They were favored among the gentry and women because of these traits. Men would carry them concealed in a waistcoat pocket and women would hide them in a hand muff. The overall condition is very good. Gray patina. Silver and gold inlaid frame, barrel, and cylinder. Both grips are in good shape with average handling wear and a missing chip from the left heel. The bore is semi-bright and maintains serviceable rifling. The action is strong, but does have some slight cylinder wiggle when locked up. Lanyard ring is absent. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 6-1/4 inches. Caliber: 11mm Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail!
