They do not get too much nicer than this 1958 Classic Beauty. Although we think of these as NE Woods Rifles (near where they were made) they have used across the globe by the many who love the function, reliablity and graceful lines of these fine guns This F (featherweight) is among our most favorite of the many variations of 99's made at one time or another. Light weight, with 22" barrel (all F's have 22" barrels)
ditinctly shaped hand checkered forend and American Walnut butt stock. In 58' they retained all the good features: cocking indicators, carttridge counter, case colored lever with lever safety, and engine turned bolt. Many 99's have a crack behind the upper tang but this one does not.. Retains almost full blue with NO rust, NO pitting or flaws other than 2 small bruises on the butt stock and a small one touched up on the barrel.
With the excellent US Made Redfield Tracker ...a bargain at 1099.00.
Chamberd in 300 Savage, most young shooters not familar with this excellent round will not know that it is nearly the ballistic equivalent to the 308. This Cal was originally designed by Savage to provide a military round that was nearly the equal to the 30 06.
