Description: General Specs: Beretta, 2014, 28 Gauge, 6lbs. 5oz., Screw-in Chokes, LOP 14 3/4", DAH 2 3/16", DAC 1 7/16" Serial Number: Z45268S The Beretta 686 is a well-known action that has been used by Beretta in their field guns and clay target guns for decades. It is a very attractive action as it is a shallow and a very strong, one that is up for the rigors of competitive clay target games and high-volume shooting like doves in Argentina. There is a special place in the upland bird hunter’s world for the diminutive 28ga. and it is THE CHOICE for those hunting quail, woodcock, grouse, doves, and other game birds, especially over pointing dogs. The Beretta 686 has a scaled baby frame designed specifically for their tiny 28 and .410 bored shotguns. Most other makers have 20ga. frames with 28ga. barrels on the larger action. This Beretta Model 686 Onyx Pro was manufactured in 2014; it is serial number Z45268S. The gun is in 99% condition. The barrel shows 99% original bluing and mirror bores, it has screw-in chokes, IC and MOD are included, other chokes constrictions are readily available. The receiver shows some superficial stains, mostly on the underside of the action, but still shows 99% factory blue. The action is tight on face and the lever is Way Right of Center, the ejectors are well timed, mechanically this Beretta is near new! The gun features Berettas superior grade (EELL) French Walnut, it is highly figured with beautiful contrast and fiddleback, it is factory finished with a hand-rubbed satin oil finish, the checkering is perfect, there are minimum handling marks. Wood to metal fit is superb. Weighing just 6lbs. 5oz. and balanced just ahead of the hinge pin, this is a dynamic gun ready for upland and clay target sports. Indeed, the Onyx Pro is optimized for sport shooting and is well regarded for it ability to shoot high shell counts! We have priced this gun to sell, and it is not easy to find these fine little Beretta baby-framed 28ga. guns with this nice of wood. See the specifications below. Thanks for looking!
