Built on Merkel’s renowned boxlock action, this rifle features double triggers, auto-safety, cocking indicators, and barrel side-clips for added strength—essential when firing high-pressure dangerous game rounds. The 23.6" barrels are topped with a matted quarter rib, standing express rear sight, folding leaf, and a ramped express front bead, giving it fast target acquisition in dense cover or on a charge.
The coin-finished action is handsomely adorned with relief game scene engraving: a Cape buffalo in full detail on the left, a rhino on the right, and tasteful scrollwork along the bottom with the Merkel logo. The top lever, trigger guard, and forearm latch are also engraved, demonstrating Merkel’s commitment to craftsmanship even in utilitarian components.
