About Us: Established in 1976. We are a full time FFL dealer. Also interested in purchasing ORIGINAL Civil War Confederate weapons for our personal collection.

Description:
Fresh in out of the attic of a local estate. Retains a pleasing patina overall with light surface rust. All markings are clear. Good mechanical function. Bore is dirty with strong rifling. Wood is dry with some handling marks and age cracks in the butt that are solid and along the grain. Brass has a pleasing dark patina. Original ramrod, although the tip is a bit bent (see pictures). The head of the hammer screw seems to have broken off a long time ago, however the hammer is solidly on the gun, looks to have been pinged to stay on, possibly during the period of use. The gun is complete with both sling swivels as well as the original rear sight. Has M.C. period carved into the left side of the stock opposite the lock, as well as M.R.C. carved neatly into the left side of the butt. 39 inch barrel with 25 25 proof markings. Has proofs behind the trigger guard tang, however they're worn and we can't quite make them out. Many of these were imported by both the Union and Confederate armies and used throughout the Civil War. All in all, a very nice, honest, untouched original P-53 Enfield musket that could have fought on either side of the war.
