Near mint interwar Gebrueder Merkel Suhl over under 16GA 2 3/4" shotgun dated January 1929. Boxlock with automatic ejectors and automatic safety. Scalloped case hardened receiver with light engraving and double triggers. Features 28.5" barrels with solid engine turned top rib, excellent bore condition, Swiss retailer's name on barrel side: Hans Schwarz (of) Bern (1873-1945). OAL=45.6", LOP=15", barrel=725mm, weight=6.5 lbs, height over comb=1.45", height over heel=2.25", choke over= LF, choke under= IM. Attractive dark English walnut stock with crisp hand cut checkering and old recoil pad. Only minor handling and storage marks, near perfect blue metal finish, overall condition 95% + very tight and crisp action!
