All original and matching with all correct parts as to model year of production and no changes post original issue. Serial numbered in the 181,xxx/Star serial range (see Ernst & Waite, TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD page 183). Excellent with most of the original blue with slight patina. Stock with the original finish and excellent “1881” dated Ordnance Inspector’s cartouche. Perfect working order and bright bore. Date to the period of the Apache Wars from 1881-1886 including the Geronimo Breakout. $2700.
