Excellent condition with 95% original blue and the original stock finish Fine “ESA” cartouche. Long wrist stock and all the correct early features with no later arsenal replacements. Perfect working order and near mint bore. Springfield records indicate it was issued to the 5th U.S. Infantry which served extensively in the Plains Indian Wars including the Little Big Horn Campaign. $1750.
