32745- APACHE INDIAN WARS SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1881 FORAGER TRAPDOOR 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN. Serial number 1071 and only a few numbers from one recorded in Springfield Research Records as issued to Indian Scouts at Fort Bowie, Arizona in early 1882. All original and correct as issued. Very good overall with moderate wear one would expect from Indian Scout issues. Nice markings and stock with original cartouche dated 1881. Working order and reasonably good bore. Only 1376 made (Flayderman #9A-376) with many issued to U.S. Indian Scout companies. Rare. $2700.
