This is an unopened box of WW2 era original .30 M2 Armor Piercing Ammunition. 20 Cartridges in the original box. Lot numbered 16172 by the Utah Ordnance Plant. Label is still intact and sealed. Covered in a clear plastic wrapping to preserve the condition. The Utah Ordnance Plant had a capacity of 5,000,000 cartridges per day, which consisted of ball, armor piercing and tracer cartridges in caliber .30, and armor piercing, tracer and incendiary in caliber .50. Production was terminated at the plant in December 1943, with total production to that date consisting of over 1.2 billion rounds of caliber .30 and 418 million rounds of caliber .50.
