This is an opened box of WW2 era original .30 M2 Ball Ammunition. 20 Cartridges in the original box. Lot numbered 19099 by the Twin Cities Ordnance Plant. Label is still mostly intact but the top lid has become seperated.. Good condition box and label. Free Shipping Is Included.
The Twin Cities Ordnance Plant was a "2nd Wave" plant operated by the Federal Cartridge Corporation and set up to produce both .30 and .50 caliber ammunition. First production started during February 1942, and was closed during August 1945. Total World War II production exceeded 4 billion rounds, with 2.2 billion being .30 Caliber. The Twin Cities Ordnance Plant label has the unique WWII red stripe, which identified the contents as Ball ammunition, and a hand-stamped lot number.
