This is a very nice 1970 manufactured Ruger. It has some light handling marks. Would make a nice piece for your Ruger collection.
The Ruger Blackhawk was introduced in 1955 as a modernized version of the classic Colt Single Action Army, offering increased strength, improved ergonomics, and the ability to handle higher-pressure loads like the .357 Magnum. The Three-Screw Blackhawk belongs to the first generation of Blackhawks, commonly known as the “Old Model.” This early example is a pre-warning, three screw, four click Blackhawk revolver that was manufactured in 1970. This Ruger, chambered in .41 Magnum, is in Very Good condition, showing light wear. The Ruger Blackhawk, as mentioned above, is modernized compared to the Colt Single Action Army, in that it has adjustable sights instead of the Colt's fixed sights, and uses wire coil springs instead of the Colt's flat leaf springs. Bill Ruger chose coil springs due to their greater durability, saying that it solved one of the primary weaknesses of the Colt design. This vintage Blackhawk will be perfect for cowboy shooting and would go well in any revolver or Ruger collection.
