This 6-inch barreled, 6-shot swing-out cylinder revolver in .38 Long Colt/.38 Special features military markings including "U.S.N." on the butt, Navy anchor symbol, "38 D.A." designation, "No 1569" issue number, and "J.A.B." inspector initials. Half-moon blade front sight, and grooved rear sight. Left side of the barrel marked “S.& W. 38 MIL”. Top of the barrel having the standard two line S&W address. Right sideplate having the usual S&W logo. Matching serial numbers on frontstrap, cylinder, and under barrel. Color-case-hardened trigger and hammer. Fitted with unmarked walnut checkered grips with diamonds around the screws.
