Description:
At 44 cal.,with a 2 1/2” round, smooth bore screw-on barrel with an oxidized and pitted bore. The metal surfaces are gray with handling and tool marks on the barrel. The smooth walnut bag shaped grips rate about good plus with handling marks. This gun features a folding trigger and the mechanism functions although there is no half-cock notch present. There is a proof mark on the bottom of the barrel but is illegible.Barrel comes off easily . Made in tcjhe 1840 TO 1860'S .May have been used in the Civil Wat by coiuriers or spies.
