Description:
Winchester 1876 in .45-75 with a factory letter. Manufactured early 1885. 28" Octagon barrel has very good to excellent rifling throughout- see magnified borescope photos. Has a corect rear ladder sight and a German style front sight.
Blueing has a nice brown patina with one scratch just in front of the rear sight. The wood is excellent with some slight staining and a few light scratches. Still has the original cleaning rod sections in the buttstock compartment.
Overall, an excellent 76!
Note... We have two borescopes. A $2,500 Hawkeye and a $100 Teslong. The Teslong gets the call 90% of the time. The ability to take high magnification pics is simple as pairs with your phone.
