Description:
This is a decent Kimber of Oregon S-Series .22 LR. The S-Series model was used by Kimber to test the high end rifle market's wilingness to pay extra money for a limited edition 82 .22LR. About 535 were made with extra-nice wood, upgraded checkering, fluted wood around the trigger guard, and a Continental style cheekpiece. The offering went over so well, the historically popoular Super America was later released as a standard offering. This one is no over-priced safe queen. It has ovious dings in the wood (but no crazing) and there are several spots on the bluing that are down to the metal. It tried to show them in the pictures, but you can always call and ask for more pictures and a verbal description of what I am seeing. The bluing on the muzzle has thinned from being put in and out of a soft case as one often sees in field-use guns. The bluing on the edges of the grip cap have thinned to the metal, the bluing on the bolt knob has thinned, there is a bluing rub on the magazine and there is a brass colored washer under the front sling stud. I have priced this gun accrdingly. Buyer pays insured shipping.
