This is an interesting item, not seen before. In 1970 Marlin celebrated it's 100th year in business and the magazine Outdoor Life presented a "Conservation Pledge" plaque, that reads "To Marlin Firearms Company In Recognition of 100 Years of Service to The American Sportsman" "Presented by Outdoor Life Magazine 1970". The "Conservation Pledge" reads "I give my pledge as an American to save and faithfully to defend from waste the natural resources of my country—its soil and minerals, its forests, waters, and wildlife." Interesting and unique, I could not find another like it or mention of it. Approx. 21" X 14" x 2";
