Serial No. 409859b, made in 1892, .32 W.C.F., 26" octagonal barrel marked “WINCHESTER’S REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A./ -KING’S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29.1866 OCTOBER 16.1860- “. Bore is fair with frosting and oxidation visible in the grooves, rifling remains strong. Barrel and receiver have turned to a smooth brown patina with traces of original blue visible in protected areas. Magazine tube has completely turned to a brown patina. Forward of the receiver is marked “32 W.CF.", 3rd model dust cover remains present. Tang is marked “MODEL 1873" in between decorative scroll, brass carrier is marked “32 CAL". Wood is good with light carry wear noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly. (AW1136)
