This is the only site I use and do not plan to change. Description: This is a nice, clean Civil War Henry Rifle that has the C.G.C. acceptance mark on the barrel. This gun, however, is not in the normal serial number range of 3000-4000, but it is numbered in the very high 2900 range. It has the normal sling swiviles of the military rifles. A total of 1731 Henrys were accepted by the Union Army and the 800 that were purchased for the Washington units were the ones with C.G.C acceptance marks. This gun is fully operational and the rear sight has been relocated to the reciver, not uncommon. The .44 Henry was very underpowered as the load was 26 to 28 grains of black powder behind a 200 or 215 grain bullet, but it could shoot 16 times on one loading. It is overall in very good condition. $80.00 Shipping via Priority Mail Price: $37,500.00 Antique: Yes |
