Description:
This set features a pair of naval percussion pistols housed in a wooden presentation case lined with red velvet and gilded holders. The box bears a plaque inscribed with the text: "18 The 58 Condoleeza Capt R. M. Petra, New Orleans."
Each single-shot pistol is equipped with a curved walnut grip, iron lockplate and barrel, and brass fittings—including a rounded butt cap and barrel bands. The first pistol is marked with the numbers "601" and "588," and is stamped "K 1853 G01" and "OC." The second pistol is marked "139" and stamped "K 1848," "139," "P," and "OH.
