Description:
An Early 1800's Percussion Half Stock Kentucky Rifle With A Patchbox On Each Side & Heavy Octagon Barrel In Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The rifle has nice metal and markings throughout. It is Marked "HB" on the lock. The lock and hammer also have engraving on them. All of the metal on the rifle including the heavy barrel has a light natural patina on it with some light peppering on the lock area. The bore in the barrel is .36 caliber. It has a large buckhorn sight on top of the barrel. It has fine brass hardware throughout it including an original patchbox on each side which both fit and work perfectly. The butt plate, escutcheon, and for-end are also fine throughout. The original striped wood on the rifle is fine throughout and shows some wear in spots. It has double set triggers that work properly. The original remrod is all complete including the twist at the end. This is A Fine Example Of An Early 1800's Percussion Half Stock Kentucky Rifle With A Patchbox On Each Side & Heavy Octagon Barrel On It With Double Set Triggers!
