Payment Types Accepted: Description: For sale is a Browning Hi Power Mk I with a custom-fitted threaded barrel. The pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger, though the barrel is not marked as such. This Hi Power is a Belgian-made pistol, made by FN Herstal in 1970 for the Browning Arms Company. The Mk I Hi Powers feature forged steel frames and slides and have a blued finish throughout the pistol. The Mk I Hi Powers do not feature ambidextrous safeties like some later versions do, and while some very early models had internal extractors, this piece and later versions of the Hi Power utilized a more reliable external extractor. One of the last projects of the famed John Moses Browning, the Hi Power arrived on the market in 1935 and saw military action on both the Axis and Allied sides during World War II and has been in service with various militaries and police forces since its inception, even in limited use today. The pistol is most famous for its service history as well as being the first double-stack semi-auto 9mm pistol in commercial production. This pistol is in good condition with even bluing throughout the pistol, the original magazine disconnect safety still installed, and mostly original components still on the gun, including the smaller thumb safety lever and Commander-style hammer. However, the threaded barrel is aftermarket by an unknown manufacturer and the pistol is now wearing a set of Pachmayr rubber grips. The adjustable target iron sights appear to be original Browning sights, but the front sight is loose and appears to have broken welds to keep it in place. This pistol would make an excellent addition to any pistol enthusiast or fan of JMB designs. This Hi Power Mk I does not include any magazines. 9mm Luger Price: $1,149.99 Chambers: 9mm Luger Metal Condition: Good Bore Condition: Good Barrels: 5 1/4" threaded Triggers: Single action Butt Pad: Pachmayr rubber Weight: 2 Lbs 1 oz Sights: Adjustable target sights Item Location: Kearney, NE |
