Payment Types Accepted: Description: Another timeless rifle design, the Remington 700 remains one of the most popular bolt-action rifle actions around the world. Used for hunting, target shooting, and tactical applications, the Remington 700 seems to be here to stay, over 60 years after its introduction to market in 1962. For sale is a vintage Remington 700 rifle, a 700 ADL Deluxe Carbine. The barrel's date code indicates it was built in August of 1963—a second-year production. The rifle is chambered in the venerable .30-06 Springfield and sports a 20" barrel with open sights. The front sight has a textured ramp leading up to the post with brass bead atop. The rear sight used an adjustable elevator, however a previous owner had filled the gaps in the sight with JB Weld or epoxy to make it fixed and non-adjustable. The receiver already has a set of Weaver bases attached, ready to accept a scope. The barrel is in great condition with only a small amount of wear on the rifling about two inches in from the muzzle. The stock trigger on this rifle is a wide grooved trigger with very little trigger travel—essentially a target trigger. The 700 ADL Deluxe is built on a checkered walnut Monte Carlo stock which is also in good shape, but has typical wear for a gun its age that has been taken into the field. The rifle is an ADL model, meaning the magazine is fully internal and does not have a magazine floorplate for unloading. The stock is capped with a checkered metal buttplate. The rifle is in very good condition overall. The stock's original finish has worn away almost completely, leaving a largely natural walnut appearance. But, the stock has no cracks or significant damage. The barrel is rust-free and bright with no pitting. The metal buttplate has some finish wear on the checkering. In summary, there are only minor cosmetic flaws with the gun—aside from the rear sight—and is a great pickup for vintage rifle collectors. This rifle does not include a case or box. .30-06 Springfield Price: $699.99 Chambers: .30-06 Springfield Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Fair Bore Condition: Good Barrels: 20 Triggers: Wide grooved trigger Stock Dimensions: 13 1/2" LOP Fore End: Checkered walnut Butt Pad: Checkered metal Weight: 7 lbs 3 oz Sights: "Textured ramped front sight with brass bead, rear elevator sight (fixed into place by previous owner) Item Location: Kearney, NE |
