Payment Types Accepted: Description: For sale is a very good-condition Belgian over-under shotgun made by the world-famous Fabrique Nationale Herstal (AKA FN Herstal or FN) company. The shotgun can be dated back to a production year of 1978. This shotgun has no model markings, but based on features and history of the company, this is an FN-marked "copy" of the Browning Superposed, John Browning's final shotgun design. FN in Belgium had a history of building the Superposed shotguns for the Browning Arms Company since its inception, so this shotgun is exactly the same as a Browning-branded gun, only not marked "Browning Superposed." This is likely because the gun was built and sold in a European market where Browning-branded guns are much less commonly sold. The shotgun is chambered for 12 gauge 2 ¾" shells and features 28" barrels with fixed chokes (improved modified top and improved cylinder bottom barrels). The barrels are topped with a checkered vented rib with single brass bead. The receiver and barrels have original bluing, though the receiver's finish is wearing more than the barrels have. The receiver features light decorative hand-engraving on the flats. This shotgun uses a single selectable trigger and selective ejectors. This FN shotgun is fitted with gloss-finished walnut furniture, with checkering on the pistol grip and Schnabel forend. The stock is capped with a hardened rubber buttpad with the Browning logo. The shotgun also has lighter weight barrels and furniture, similar to a Superposed Lightning model. The shotgun is in very good condition, from the externals to the inside of the barrels. There is some finish wear and usage marks on the stock, but there is no concerning damage to the furniture and the barrels are clean, with no rust/corrosion or pitting. The rib is also in good condition. This shotgun does not include a box or case. 12 Gauge Price: $1,149.99 Chambers: 12 gauge Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Fair Bore Condition: Very good Barrels: 28 Triggers: Single selectable Stock Dimensions: 14 1/4" LOP Fore End: Checkered walnut Schnabel-style Butt Pad: Hardened rubber Weight: 6 lbs 15 oz Sights: Vented checkered rib with single brass bead Chokes: "Fixed improved modified (top), fixed improved cylinder (bottom) Item Location: Kearney, NE |
